1. ALWAYS cook gourmet meals.
Every. Single. Night.
Forget the easy recipes. We’re talkin’ 3-course meals, five-star rating, Food Network quality cookery here. Think Coquilles Saint-Jacques or Boudin Noir Aux Pommes as the main course. Your kids probably won’t eat it, but hey; the hours of hard work will be worth it just to bask in the beautifulness of the dish.
2. Don’t leave the house.
Or go outside for that matter, ever.
Unless absolutely necessary.
Like, for example, if the stove is on fire or something. Otherwise, stay indoors like it’s 50 below zero outside, popsicles are raining down, and angry snowmen are attacking the city with boulder-like snowballs… it could happen.
3. Never allow your children to be babysat by anyone else.
Now, we’re aiming for ‘overworked’ here, so definitely don’t let anyone watch your kids for you.
Just stay with those kiddos 24/7 and you’ll be stressed to the max quicker than a rocket full of cheetahs.

Please, for Pete’s sake (and I don’t know who Pete is, but apparently he matters): find shortcuts for daily tasks, ask for help when needed, and above all, take breaks every once in awhile! You, your kids, and Pete will be so much happier.
